Jamia Millia Islamia invites application for admission to B. Voc. in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) and Medical Electrophysiology (MEP) for the academic session 2015-16. These courses have been recently approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Deen Dayal Upadhya Kaushal Kendra Scheme in the Centre for Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Sciences, JMI.
The course aims at providing the graduates of higher education system to have adequate knowledge and skills for employment and entrepreneurship and also to fulfill the emerging needs of the economy. The course aims to incorporate the requirements of Para-Medical sector in the country with specific job roles in its curriculum in an innovative and flexible manner. The B.Voc. in both courses also provides an opportunity of exiting course after completing 1 year with a Diploma (having NSQF Level 5), after completing 2 years with an Advance Diploma (having NSQF Level 6) and after completing the 3 years with Bachelor of Vocational Degree (having NSQF Level 7).The eligibility for admission in the above mentioned courses is 10+2 level examination or equivalent having at least overall 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The admission will be purely on merit basis as per JMI admission policy. There will be NO Entrance Test this year. The Admission Form may be downloaded from JMI website www.jmi.ac.in. The duly filled in Application Form, self-attested mark-sheets of class X & XII and other relevant documents along with a Bank Draft or Postal Order of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) in favour of “Jamia Millia Islamia” payable at New Delhi must be submitted either in person or by post in the office of the Director, Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, JMI latest by October 26, 2015 upto 5.30 PM.
Hard copy of Application Forms may also be obtained on cash payment of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) from the office of the Director, Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, JMI.All other conditions for granting admission in Jamia Millia Islamia will remain same as mentioned in the Jamia Prospectus 2015, which is available on Jamia website www.jmi.ac.in.
