AMU Proctorial guards awarded for bravery

ALIGARH May 19:

The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah felicitated Mr. Mohd. Imran and Mr. Shahid Usman, Security Guards of the Proctor’s office for exceptional courage and bravery they displayed on December 10, 2014 in capturing an armed criminal at J. N. Medical College Hospital.

Gen. Shah presented a cheque of Rs. Twenty Thousand to Mr. Mohd. Imran who was seriously injured by a bullet shot by the criminal. He was later operated at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The University borne all the expenses incurred on the treatment of Mr. Mohd. Imran.

Gen. Shah also presented a cheque of Rs. Ten Thousand to Mr. Shahid Usman, another security guard who caught an armed criminal.

On this occasion, University Proctor Prof. Jamshed Siddiqui and his team was also present.

AMU Proctor Professor Jamshed Siddiqui also issued a certificate of appreciation to both the security guards.
