Laxmibai Colleg(Delhi University):
Variety is a spice of life. Life without feasts and celebrations is charmless and lifeless. So is true in cases of college life without functions and Celebrations College life becomes monotonous and uninteresting. Therefore almost all the colleges have certain celebrations such as annual function. These celebrations add colour and charm to college life.
Recently “Laxmibai College” constituent college of university of Delhi organised its annual function on March 31, 2015. The function was formally inaugurated with lighting of a lamp by Prof. Veena Gautam, principal, Laxmibai College, The function kicked off with the speech by the principal,after which the prize distribution ceremony started. The annual function of the college saw many cultural dances, film songs, dances and a short comic play made the entire program lively and thrilling.
The poet and humourist Padamshree Surendra Sharma and Mr. Baldeo Bhai Sharma.Chairman, National Book Trust were the chief guest of the occasion. The performance by Padamshree Surendra Sharma evoked lots of smile clapping from the audience, The performance was lively interesting and exciting. Everyone enjoyed it to the full and Mr. Baldeo Bhai Sharma motivated the students in his speech.
The programme concluded with a fine cultural programme and with a few words said by the teachers of college stating that the purpose of the function and inviting everyone is to relax and enjoy the performances by the students. The programme came to a close with an enchanting performance by the students. Thus ended the annual day function of Laxmibai College. Everyone enjoyed it to the fullest. All departed with a smile on their faces and with a big thank you on their lips. Everyone went away with sweet and pleasant memories of a day.
