This winter season is the season of love. Everyone likes to spend these last few days of the years making up for their long lost relationships, attempt to bring everyone close and spend these days with love. Here is the list of some of the best places in Delhi, which might help one even if someone is not willing to loose their pocket money. These are some of the cute, romantic and cheapest places to hangout
#1 Connaught Place
Connaught Place is the heart of Delhi. Easily reachable by metro, this place is a hub for all kinds of people and all kinds of mood. There is a huge array of hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, food outlets, shopping stores, book stores and everything one can think of. But if you wish to keep your date simple yet romantic, then CP offers you long walks, where you can window shop with your partner, eat and sip hot tea or coffee at any local stall. The evenings here are stupendous with the whole are lit up by lights and crowded, this place is an ideal place for a romantic date as it has everything one might need.
#2 Chandni Chowk
Chandni Chowk or Delhi – 6 has been an all-time favourite for many romantic couples. This place does not offer you solitude as it one of the most crowded areas of Delhi. But here you get to taste and experience all possible things. Be it the paranthe wali gali where you can have delicious paranthas at extremely reasonable price, or be it the beautiful market which has everything a shopaholic would need, be it the Gurudwara or Church, or the nearby Nayi Sarak Lane where you can browse through millions of books, or the heritage site of Lal Quila, Chandni Chowk has it all. If you are planning to go there, then do try all the street food and have an amazing day.
#3 Hauz Khas
Hauz Khas area can also be reached easily by Metro and Bus. Hauz Khas like CP is a place where you can enjoy on any day, and with or without money. The Hauz Khas market is quite expensive and posh area where you can have a date in any of the restaurants and bars. The famous and good ones are Pink Room, OTB Café, Social Offline and others. But, if you instead want to just chill out with your loved one then stack up some food in a basket and go to the Hauz Khas Fort and lake area which is serene and peaceful. This place is worth spending time with your loved ones. And if you have enough time on your hand, then do take a walk in the nearby Deer Park.
#4 Agrasen ki Baoli
This is personally my favourite spot in Delhi to spend some romantic and peaceful time. On a ten minute walk from Barakhamba Metro Station or Connaught Place’s Outer Circle, you get to this literally hidden and quite place. Urgrasen ki Baoli is a heritage site but very few no about it. This is a beautifully constructed old building, with nothing special and fancy about it and yet its simplicity and peacefulness attracts many people to come here, spend some time sitting here in the sun and spending some quality time. There is not much food sold around here, but as this is close to CP, do not worry about being hungry.
Vishwavidalya or the North Campus of Delhi University is also an amazing place. Here you have the famous Kamala Nagar Market for shopping, huge university campus for walks and you literally get every sort of food here. Be it the popular KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut or the new yet amazing cafes like Shake Square, Café Amicos, Woodbox Café and Big Yellow Door, here you will find every variety.
#6 Lodhi Garden
Lodhi Garden again is a place synonymous to peace. If you plan to keep your date simple with no interference then this is an ideal place. Lodhi Garden is spread out in a huge area, you can either stroll around the garden, enjoy the beautiful old monuments which are its part or can simply sit and have a sort of picnic.
#7 Safdarjung Tomb
Another heritage site of Delhi, which is yet beautiful and exquisite place. The quiet surroundings, serene greenery and marvellous architecture of this place are worth experiencing. There are not any food outlets nearby so it a place where you can just sit and have a good time talking and clicking photographs.
#8 Humayun Tomb
Quite similar to Safdarjung Tomb, Humayun’s Tomb is also a heritage site and has an exquisite architecture. Surrounding the tomb is the green lush gardens, which are ideal for picnic and a cute date with peace and sunlight.
#9 Delhi Haat
Delhi Haat is walking distance from INA metro station and can be enjoyed as a place that offers flavours of India. Here you can take your date partner to various food stall, taste various delicacies and also shop exciting things from different states stalls. Delhi Haat is also a very lively place as many performances and events are organized here which can also be enjoyed as a part of the date.
#10 India Gate
India Gate, there is no need to introduce this place. But if you are wondering that how could this place be romantic then I suggest that do hangout in this area. Explore the various interesting museums and art galleries in the area nearby and also feel the beautiful atmosphere near India Gate. Blend into the romantic and patriotic feelings that this place offers and as far as the food is concerned, the cheapest street food around this area is worth trying.
You need not have money to have good time with your loved one. So even if your budget does not allow you to have a luxury date, do consider these simple and cute hangout places.
