Wishing Mr. Donald Duck a happy birthday!

Hiya, toots! Its Donald Duck’s Birthday!

‘Maybe he’s just a duck, but he’s human!’

June 9 is celebrated as our beloved Donald Duck’s birthday.

DONALD DUCK first appeared on the silver screen on June 9, 1934, in the animated short film, The Wise Little Hen, dancing to the Sailor’s Hornpipe.

How well do you know Donald?

Donald Duck’s full name is Donald Fauntleroy Duck. It was revealed in the 1942 cartoon ‘Donald Gets Drafted’.

He has starred in seven feature films–which is more than any of his Disney counterparts.

He is six years younger than Mickey Mouse.

The original voice of Donald Duck was provided by Clarence ‘Ducky’ Nash. The distinctive semi-intelligible speech that he created helped promote both Nash and Donald to stardom.

Walt Disney had satire on his mind while creating his unique Disney characters. Donald Duck, for instance, is supposed to represent what we are, while Mickey is supposed to represent what we should be!
