The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an organisation that assesses and accredits institutions of higher education in India. It is an autonomous body funded by University Grants Commission of Government of India headquartered in Bangalore.
NAAC revised its grading system this year and as per the new system it has a 8 point grade system based on CGPA. Following is the new grading system.

This year NAAC visited many colleges of Delhi University and graded them according to the criterial points. This year, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) got the highest CGPA of 3.65, followed by Lady Shri Ram College for Women who secured a CGPA of 3.61 and Kirori Mal College, which got a CGPA of 3.54 and all of them achieved an A+ grade. Gargi College, with CGPA of 3.30 graded A, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, with CGP of 3.01, graded A, Motilal Nehru College, with CGPA of 2.60 graded B, Ramanujan College, , with CGPA of 3.09 graded A, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies with CGPA of 3.16 graded A, St. Stephen’s College, with CGPA of 3.21 graded A.
There are seven criterial points on which the grading of the colleges is done. These are:

- Research Publications and Awards
- Consultancy
- Extension Activities and Institutional Social Responsibility
- Collaborations
