Jamia Millia Islamia Students open up Iftaar Service

Let the serenity of this holy month of Ramadan heal you.

‘ZAHRA’- Let Us Serve You This Ramadan says the initiative by the two students of English Honours, Jamia Millia Islamia.
Javed and Mohammad Saif have been contributing to the welfare of the underprivileged and deprived children of the nearby community. Around 20 students are able to avail free tuition classes through Javed, Saif and few other from Jamia Millia Islamia.

This Ramadan ‘Zahra” has brought an iftar service, near Jamia Nagar and Okhla, New Delhi that would deliver a healthy, hygienic and delicious iftar at your doorstep.Javed the founder of Zahra says, ‘After watching hostelers running for iftar we came up with Zahra, to provide homemade iftar to the people staying away from their homes and to contribute a larger part of the profits to the welfare of the children we are looking after.”

Their healthy menu card includes dates, fruits, shakes, snacks, Cutlets, Roohafza, all packed and delivered to you before the final call of Maghrib and that too in reasonable rates, keeping in mind that most of the buyers are students too.
Four years back Javed started teaching students free of costs when he was in class XII, after joining English Honours in Jamia Millia Islamia Saif (co-founder) also joined him and six months before Shaghil Iqbal, zahraFahad Masood Farooqui, Saiyyed Baquar, Qasim Khan and Mudassir Nazar have joined this noble cause.
Saif, ‘we have successfully delivered iftari to 150 people and some people have ordered it for these kids as well”

Zahra is a team of self-motivated empowered men who, from cooking to delivering the iftari, undertakes all the tasks by themselves.

Saif “we start preparing iftari by 12 and we receive last order by 6. At times we have to break our fast at one of the customer’s place.”
