After making its mark on box office world wide and also its screenplay to the Oscar library, now Happy New Year has been invited to the 14th edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival.The movie is directed by Farah Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment’s Film and stars Shahrukh Khan ,Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and the newcomer Vivaan Shah has officially been invited in the out of competition section in the upcoming festival that is going to start from December 5.
The film will be screened on the Jemaa El Fna Square on December 6.It is the day of the official royal dinner that will be hosted by President of the Festival Foundation,his Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid.Farah khan and all the stars of the movie have been invited to attend the Official Red Carpet of the evening.
Farah Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani will represent the team at the film festival which will go on till December 13.
Farah Khan is very excited about the event as it’s first time that she is going to be a part of this film festival. She also said that she is very delighted that the movie is being showcased in Marrakech and it’s honor for her to take the movie there.The director of the film festival Melita Toscon du Plantier said that they are very happy to screen Happy New Year at the Marrakech international film festival and the movie will be one of the highlights of the festival. He also said that Shahrukh Khan has a very good relationship will this film festival as he came in 2011 for the tribute and in 2012 for the Centenary of the Indian Cinema.
Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani will introduce the film on Jemaa El Fna Square in front of thousands of people.The movie grossed over Rs 350crore world wide with more than Rs200crore net in india itself.
