Two hostels to be build for northeast students in JNU and DU: Union Minister

Two hostels are going to be build in the campus of JNU and DU for the northeast student studying over there, quoted by the Union Minister Jitendra Singh.

Mr. Singh, Minister for development of North Eastern Region conveyed this message, when a group of Northeast student called him on Sunday. Singh on the talk to students told about the land acquired by the ministry of DoNER in the campus of JNU and after the clearance of forest on account of Delhi administration, the land is now ready to be used as Northeast hostel.

Similarly, he told to the students of DU, the ministry of DoNER had written to the Vice Chancellor to find a place where a hostel is to be constructed for the accommodation of Northeast students in different collage affiliated by the university.

Students showed their gratitude for the decision taken by the Minister on the various initiatives take by him for the Northeast students.

While responding to a suggestion by students, Singh said he has seen the merit demanding certain beds in the guest house in Delhi accommodating for the patients around the North-East as well as for the poor students who come to Delhi for different examination.

Delhi based Resident Commissioners (RCs) of North Eastern states will take the issue up.
