Students without Aadhar Card are not Eligible for NEET – Check Other Necessary Documents

Aadhar Card has been made a compulsory identification document. The candidates applying for NEET 2018 will now be required to present the unique identification number while filling the application form. The primary reason why it has been mandated is to keep a check on expected fraud and impersonation in examinations.

Aadhar Card will also facilitate by reaffirming identity of the candidates at the examination center with ease, and will result in accurately ascertaining the applicant’s details, without the need for presenting multiple documents so as to prove one’s identity.

Candidates who have not enrolled for Aadhar Card yet must visit the facilitation centers set up by CBSE in each city where NEET 2018 is to be held. This has been done to facilitate candidates who can approach these Aadhar Enrolment Centers, without having to pay any amount.

The facilitation centers will issue a registration number to these candidates, which should be entered by the applicants at the time of filling NEET 2018 application form.

 

Other Necessary Documents

NEET is conducted for selection of candidates in MBBS and BDS specializations in the field of medical sciences. The tentative date for the examination is 10th May 2018 and the applicants can apply in online mode.

Other than Aadhar Card, the documents which will be required to apply for NEET exam are mentioned below.

Identification Proof

Indian candidates, except for those who live in Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir need to provide their Aadhar Card details. In case of both foreign as well as NRI candidates, the passport is considered to be the valid identification proof. The applicants who belong to Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir can upload the registration number issued by the facilitation centers, or their ration card number or bank account number.

Basic Specifications

The other basic specifications which are needed for the application procedure are given below:

  • Name, Date of Birth and Gender of the Candidate. These details need to be filled up according to the ones mentioned on Aadhar Card.
  • Name of the Mother and Father and this information must match with the records of the 10th standard certificate.
  • Mobile number and Email Address.

Photograph and signature

One needs to attach their digital photograph as well as their signature while filling up NEET 2018 application form. In this case, the photograph must be postcard sized, with a white background and must have the candidate’s name written on it. The maximum size which is allowed in this case is 10Kb to 100Kb.

The signature needs to be in the JPG format with a size range of 3Kb to 20Kb. The signature must have a white background and must be done only with a black pen.
