Student leader Pooja Shukla debarred from admissions at Lucknow University

The famous English novelist George Orwell said that “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

It’s true that the people who speak the truth are generally hated by the majority of the people. The above-given statements justify the current situation of the students in our country. The increased corruption in different areas of our system gave birth to revolutionary leaders who are criticized for speaking truth.

Pooja Shukla, a a student leader who was jailed for 26-days for black-flagging the CM Yogi Adityanath  last year in June and raised slogans against the state government, once again mentioned the evil doings of the Lucknow University’s administration. She posted on her Facebook account about how vice chancellor clogged their entrance results for post-graduation and labeled them as criminals and goons.

She studied Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Lucknow and was well prepared to appear for M.A (Sociology), but due to some past problems, she’s facing exclusion from entrance exam results.

In a conversation with one of our reporters, she said that “Even though my academic performance and attendance is up to the mark, the administration debarred me without giving any explanation.” Last year at the same time, she faced a 26 day imprisonment with few others for showing black flag to Yogi Adityanath and raise slogans against state government.

Last year, she claimed that university funds were misused for organizing an RSS programme and she felt a need to raise voice against it. She complained about it to the university administration but nobody helped them. Eventually, they showed black flags to Yogi Adityanath and raised slogans against the government for which she was imprisoned for 26 days.

She earlier mentioned in an interview that how getting imprisoned for 26 days at an age of 23, changed her perception. For a long period of time, she is fighting against the administration for student rights and trying to expose them continuously.
