Seven JNU students to appear before high level committee, debarred from attending classes

Seven students of JNU have been summoned before high level committee, in addition to being debarred from attending classes. Seven students have been sent notices to appear before the university’s high level committee probing the matter. Eight students including Kanhaiya have been debarred from any academic activity till the inquiry is over,” JNU registrar Bhupinder Zutshi said.

The decision has been taken by a supervising committee formed by the university. The final report is most likely to be ready by next week. The students are allowed to stay in the hostels until the inquiry is over. Kanhaiya Kumar had recently been arrested for allegedly shouting anti-national slogans on the university’s campus.
