With JEE Main Result announced, a lot of candidates are now looking for BITSAT as their next hope. Where a many would try to qualify BITSAT after not being successful in JEE Main while other would try to add it up to their options. BITS Pilani, famous for its state of the art infrastructure and entrepreneurial aura isa deemed university that was recently ranked 13th Best University of India by National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF). BITS Pilanihas 15 academic departments and focuses primarily on undergraduate education in engineering and sciences and management programs which are offered across its four campuses namely,

Admission to BITS Pilani is purely based upon performance of candidates in entrance exam, BITSAT conducted every year by the deemed university. For the academic year 2017 the exam is scheduled from May 16 and May 30, 2017.

BITS Pilani Campus

BITSAT 2017 registration closed on March 07. Candidates could download admit cards from April 15 until May 10 from the official website of BITS Pilani i.e. http://www.bits-pilani.ac.in/. It is mandatory document that must be carried to appear BITSAT exam. It will be conducted in 51 exam centers across India. The question paper will comprise 150 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English with all the questions being in MCQ format. Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

BITSAT will consist of four sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. Each section will carry different number of question.

  • Physics – 40 Questions
  • Chemistry – 40 Questions
  • Mathematics – 45 Questions
  • English – 25 Questions

Only few days are left to appear for the examination, so here we are providing you with some basic preparation tips:

Physics

Physics section will carry 40 objective type of questions in the examination.The questions of this section are quite tough. To qualify this section candidates will need to practice allot. Physics is the natural science that involves the study of matter and its motion and behavior through space and time, along with related concepts such as energy and force.

Chemistry

Candidates have to attempt 40 MCQ questions from Chemistry section in BITSAT 2017. . The questions of this section will be theory and numerical. Chemistry is a branch of physical science that studies the composition, structure, properties and change of matter. Chemistry includes topics such as the properties of individual atoms, how atoms form chemical bonds to create chemical compounds, the interactions of substances through intermolecular forces that give matter its general properties, and the interactions between substances through chemical reactions to form different substances.

Mathematics

Mathematics is considered as one of the toughest subjects, it will contain 45 questions in the exam. This section will carry highest weightage of questions. The questions of mathematics will be based on graph and formula. Mathematics will contain the topics such as quantity, structure, space.

English

The questions paper will consist of 25 questions from English section. This section will carry lowest weightage question in the exam. This section is held to check candidate’s hold on particular subject. The questions will be based on general knowledge and grammar. The level of this section may be easy.

BITSAT 2017 Result is expected to be released on July 01, 2017. The result will be released on the official website of BITS Pilani. Applicants are required to visit the website and login with the help of your Roll number and Date of Birth.

The score card will be computer generated with details comprising of correct and wrong answers along with the total score. Applicants need to keep safe their score card till the entire admission process gets over.

After the declaration of result shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for counselling process. The selection process will be based on BITSAT 2017, candidates need to score minimum qualifying marks to get the admission in Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani.
