Meet this girl from DU ,how she has been a shining star in her college

“Not all those who Stumble, falls, Some fall to fly And Kiss the sky.”

Meet this runner up for “The student of the year” from Lakshmibai College, DU who has poured her ardent devotion to NSS (National service scheme). From a football team captain to leading NSS centre of Lakshmibai College, Madhulika narrates how voulunteership has transformed her.

Sports, theatre and then NSS. That’s how Madhulika sums up her three years in Philosophy Honours. From running for small errands for college to meeting Vice- President of India, like a good mother she has organised campaign on national level too. And if even someone retorts what’s the big deal about it? I would say yes it is, a drop is as important as another drop for an ocean to be vast, deep and magnificent. Leadership is an art and not everyone can owe this skill.
What makes Madhulika Sharma our Campus Celebrity is her contribution to NSS in Lakshmibai College,She has revamped a dormant wing of college. Under her stewardship seminars, workshop and campaign were organised that not just only helped the students to learn but to groom themselves. Among the chief activities of NSS were BREAST CANCER AWARNESS SEMINAR, DISASTER MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP,-Anti tobacco campaign, National Voter’s Day/ Passport Sewa, and many more.
Madhulika Sharma has nurtured a spark with her hardwork, from running for blood donation camps to various activities, her efforts and the team work is rewarded. “Umang”, the street play society of NSS was featured on the official website of election commission of India for their dynamic performance on ‘importance of voting’
Along with two other volunteers of NSS, Madhulika was invited to the convention on digital literacy at Vigya Bhawan, where all three were awarded and praised by HRD Minister and IT Minister for their contributions in making the neighbourhood and markets casheless, reaching out to the masses under the VISAKA (Vittiya Saksharta Abhiyan) Campaign.

There is something special about creative minds they never halt. NSS might sound boring to some but it is passion for few, and Madhulika has won the title for that. From being a Volunteer to President, she escalated with her hardwork and brought NSS camp of Lakshmibai College to limelight.

Aapka Times wishes Madhulika a great success in future!
