JNU VC met Police Commissioner, reward for info increased to Rs 1 lakh

Today the Jawaharlal Nehru University’s Vice Chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar met Commissioner of police, Delhi regarding the recent missing case of Najeeb Ahmed. It has been more than 10 days that the student Najeeb Ahmed has been missing after a spat with three ABVP workers on 15th of October. After the meeting with the Delhi Police Commissioner, the other officials of the JNU administration, JNU Students’ Union, Teachers’ Association and Officer’s Association, Staff Association, the hostel president and four wardens of Mahi Mandavi hostel were called on.

 A strong appeal was made by the JNU authority to the police commissioner in order to eliminate all the delays and made the procedures of this search operation as swift as possible. Even the amount of the reward by the Delhi Police regarding any information about Najeeb has been increased from 50,000 to 100,000. The JNU fraternity has been requested to come forward and help in to find Najeeb.
