First cut off list of St. Stephens released, admissions set to begin
The first cut off list for admissions to the Delhi University’s most popular and sought after college, St. Stephen’s for the academic session 2015-16 for has been released. The highest requirement stands for English Honours at 99 percent.

While the varsity had decided to eliminate stream wise cut-offs and additional eligibility criteria from this year, St. Stephens has stuck to the previous pattern.

The cut off for English Honours at St. Stephens works out to be 99 percent for commerce, 97.75 percent for science and 97.50 percent for humanities.
Not breaking the age old tradition that the college has, the cut offs are as high as usual. For Economics Honours, the cut off stands at 98.50 percent for Commerce aspirants, 97.50 for Science students and 97 percent for Humanities.
The cut-offs for other courses is as follows:

History: 98%
BA pass: 96.50%
Mathematics: 97.25%
Sanskrit: 75%
Philosophy: 96.75%
Last year, the cut- offs for English and Economics were the highest at 97.25% for Science students, 98 for Commerce students and 97% for Humanities.

The college has even made it mandatory to include maths in their best of four percentage for admission to Maths Honours.

The college is known to offer Honours courses in Economics, English, History, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Maths and Chemistry along with Bachelors of Arts(BA) and Bachelors of Science (B.Sc) courses.

There are separate cut-offs for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (non-Christian), Christian Scheduled Tribes, Church of North India (CNI), CNI Delhi Diocese, Other Christians, Christian Person with Disability, Person with Disability for some particular subjects, and for Urdu students.

The college claims to have received a record 32,100 applications for just 400 seats.
However, there is a slight change in the admission criteria. Earlier, the college used to enrol students on the basis of a personal interview and cut off after Class XII results. But, from this year, an additional 30 min aptitude test has been introduced. The list of candidates called for interview and aptitude test will be updated on the website in two days and the interviews will begin on 22 June.
