The exam is conducted for the B.E. and B.Pharma. courses. It includes four parts – Physics (Part I), Chemistry (Part II), English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning (Part III) and Mathematics/Biology (Part IV).
You will need to choose the Mathematics part of the
B.E. course and Biology part of the B.Pharma. course. You will have to attempt 150 questions within the duration of 3 hours. The Part I and II contain 40 questions each, Part III contains 25 and Part IV contains 45 questions.
The questions asked will be objective type and there will be four probable answers for each question. For every correct attempt, you will be awarded three marks while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect attempt.
The most interesting part of BITSAT exam is the provision of additional questions. In case you will be able to attempt all 150 questions in 180 minutes (without skipping any), you would be given a chance in the computer itself to attempt 12 extra questions.
This gives you an opportunity to score extra marks and hold a great rank. Experts agree that the difficulty level of BITSAT is said to be at par with that of JEE Main, conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
To conclude here, BITSAT is very tough to qualify and there is a big fight for each and every seat. What raises the difficulty bar is the competition as over 2.1 lakhs students appeared in BITSAT 2017 to compete for only 2000 seats. But a well-planned preparation for BITSAT 2018 can help you clear the exam with a good rank. You must strategically revise the various subjects to improve speed and accuracy. Good luck ahead!!
