DU released third cutoff; 33,000 seats are already been occupied before the third round

University of Delhi released its third cutoff list for admissions with many prestigious institutes but still not released cutoffs for few courses. 33,000 students out of 56,000 seats have already been enrolled in the university. Shri Ram College of Commerce has intended that they’ll not admit any more students in general category and hasn’t issued cut-offs for the same.

Many colleges had already closed admissions for B.Com (Honors) after the first two lists. Bharti College, Lady Shri Ram College, Kirori Mal College, Maitreyi College, Daulat Ram etc. are also included in that list while certain colleges have reopened their admission window for courses such as Economics (Honors), Political Science (Honors) and Chemistry (Honors) in the given cut-off list.

The admissions under the third cutoff list will be held from Saturday to Tuesday. Document verification and approval of admissions will happen from 9.30 to 1.30 pm for regular shift colleges and 4 to 7 pm for evening shift colleges. The prominent Hindu College reopened admission for Chemistry (Honors) at 96.66 % even though they have closed 14 of the 18 courses.
Similarly, Gargi College has reopened Chemistry (Honors) at 94.33 %, Political Science (Honors) at 94% and Zoology (Honors) at 93%. Lady Shri Ram and Shyama Prasad Mukherji College also reopened Economics (Honors) at 97.5% and 92.5 % respectively. For aspirants of History and Commerce, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College also reopened B.Com at 94.5% and History (honors) at 89.75%.

Kamala Nehru College closed admission for Psychology (Honors), History (Honors), Mathematics (Honors) and BA Programme while the Indraprastha College for Women reopened Mathematics (Honors) at 95 %. In short, most of the prominent colleges have closed admissions for their prestigious courses while some of them reopened them.
