DU launches 25 new courses including forensic science

The Delhi University has decided to introduce25 new courses in various colleges for academic session 2016-2017

This is the first time,University has introduced Forensic Science (H) for students which will be offered in SGTB Khalsa College.Some colleges like Bhagini Nivedita, Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Aryabhatta College will offer History (H) from this year.

St Stephens’ will introduce Political Science (H) however Gargi College will introduce Maths (H).

According to mainstream media, more than 30 colleges gave the final nod in February to start these courses from the new academic session.

The admission process for post graduate courses is likely to begin by April 25 however the online registration for admission to 54,000 seats in undergraduate courses will begin from May 24 for the academic session 2016-2017 and the first cut-off list will be out on June 22.

The entrance tests for postgraduate courses is likely to begin from  first week  of June for the intake of around 8,000 seats.

The registration fees for general and OBC categories students will be Rs 500 and SC, ST and PwD (persons with disability) categories students will required to pay Rs250.
