Banaras Hindu University; commonly referred to as BHU; formerly known as Central Hindu College is a public central university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, BHU is one of the largest residential universities in Asia, with over 20,000 students. The university comprises all castes, creeds, religions and genders, and is on the list of Institutes of National Importance.
BHU UET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) 2016 and BHU PET 2016 (Post Graduate Entrance Test) will be conducted by Banaras Hindu University for Undergraduate and Post graduate courses in Arts, Social Science, Commerce, Science, Sanskrit, Law, Education, Agriculture etc.
I. BHU UET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) 2016
BHU UET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) 2016 will be held in between 10th April to 15th May 2016. By qualifying this exam candidates can get admission into several undergraduate courses in BHU.

How to apply for BHU UET 2016

BHU UET 2016 Exam Pattern
Talking about BHU UET 2016 exam pattern there will be 150 questions will be asked in the exam. Each question will carry 3 marks and thus total mark will be 450. Exam duration will be of 2 hours.

II. BHU PET (Post Graduate Entrance Test) 2016
BHU 2016 is a paper based entrance test hosted by Banaras Hindu University for admission of eligible candidates to various postgraduate (PG) courses of study. This entrance exam is important for candidates who are seeking PG courses admission in BHU. The BHU PET (Post Graduate Entrance Test) held to checks subject knowledge and aptitude skills of candidates for postgraduate admission in Banaras Hindu University.
Candidates have to satisfy prescribed BHU PET 2016 eligibility criteria as follows:
◾Interested candidates must be qualified graduation or Bachelor degree with minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institute/University. There will be relaxation of 5% marks for the candidates belonging to reserved category such as SC/ST/OBC and physically challenged students.
◾Candidates who are pursuing or appearing final year of their graduation may also apply for the exam
◾Both citizen and non-citizens of India are eligible to appear this examination.
◾Candidates should have completed 17 years of age but not be exceeded than 25 years of age to write this examination.
