Top grossing movies of 2014

1) PK
and here once again mr. perfectionist bagged first position by leaving all others behind. Along with all the controversy p.k made it to 200 crores club in 10 days and left an immpecible mark on the heart of people and is still enthralling the big screen.
2) Kick
The Khan of all seasons, Salman Khan worked his magic once again at the box office with Kick being his trademark ‘Eid release’. A typical Salman movie, low on content and story but high on the entertainment quotient, Kick was the highest grossing movie of 2014 raking in a reported Rs 233 crores.
3) Happy New Year
Next on the list is the Shahrukh Kan and Deepika Padukone starred Happy New Year which earned a staggering Rs 203 crores at the box office establishing SRK’s numero uno status as the King of Romance in Bollywood. this movie not only earned across the nation but even made it to the oscar’s library.
4) Bang Bang
With net earnings of Rs 181 crores, Bang Bang,the desi adaptation of the Tom Cruise starrer Knight and Day, stands third on the list. Though it was panned by the critics for being a caron copy of the English version, the movie, which had Hrithik and Katrina in lead roles, still managed to find a viable audience.
5) Singham Returns
The sequel to one of the biggest his in Bollywood over the recent years, Singham Returns too managed to find a place in 100 crores club earning Rs 141 crores in the process.
6) Holiday
 A R Murugadoss is known to get the best out of his actors and Holiday is no exception. Akshay Kumar fits the role of an Army officer to the T and together with a script which focused on a unique topic like terrorism in the form of sleeper cells delivers his best performance both critically as well as financially generating revenues of about Rs 112 crores.
