Thailand Ambassador to India Visits AMU

 Thailand Ambassador to India  Visits AMU.On his visit to the Aligarh Muslim University, the Thailand Ambassador to India, Mr Chalit Manityakul urged the Aligarh Muslim University, Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (retd) to provide better admission facilities to the Thai students aspiring to attend AMU.He also pointed out to the Vice Chancellor that a large number of Thai students are willing to study in AMU but owing to improper soft skills in English language, many AMU aspirants in Thailand fail to meet the Visa requirements. 

In reply, General Shah assured Mr Chalit that the University will start a one-year English Orientation Programme for the Thai students.Meanwhile, the Thai Ambassador also informed the Vice Chancellor that students in Thailand with the help and guidance of Thai AMU alumni are encouraged to attend AMU for higher learning.  

The Thai Ambassador visited the heritage buildings of the University including the Strachey Hall, which is the oldest of AMU buildings. He also visited the Maulana Azad Library where he inspected rare manuscripts. Mr Chalit also visited the Kennedy Hall and Musa Dakari Museum which houses rare artifacts including centuries old statues of Gautam Budha.He later met the Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S Ahmad Ali (retd) and received a memento from the Vice Chancellor.
