Preview of the T-20 Series to be played between India and Zimbabwe

Following is the preview of the t-20 series which is starting from 17 july 4:30 pm

Will Zimbabwe stage a upset or the Indian side would dominant again??

The Indian side would be running high on confidence after winning the one day series comfortably with a clean sweep on the host Zimbabwe of 3-0 without giving the hosts any chance in the three matches but with the t-20 series of two matches starting from 17th July Zimbabwe would be looking to get things back on track whereas Indians would be looking to sign off the tour with a complete white wash in t-20 series as well. But t-20 cricket is always regarded as a whole new ball game because in this the match turns on its head in just one ball a run here or there or a wicket at the crucial time makes a wining side a losing one so both the teams would be at par in this series though Zimbabwe would try to make a point in this series after a dismal performance in the one dayers and for that they have done quite a few changes in the team. They drafted the wicketkeeper batsman Charles coventry, off spinner John Nyumbu and uncapped steamer Taurai Muzarabani into the squad but the team would miss the services of two key players all rounder Sean Williams who sustained a knee injury during the second ODI and fast bowler Tinashe panyangara who suffered a side strain in the first match. So Zimbabwe would try to forget what happened in the one dayers and would take the field in the two t-20 with renewed optimism because of their recent performance in Pakistan where though they lost both the t-20’s but pushed its hosts close with both the games going down to the wire. On the other hand India hasn’t made much changes into the side only Sanju Samson who would be looking for his first international match and Manish pandey has been inducted into the team in place of injured Ambati Rayudu.Though India was impressive in all the 3 ODI’s but it still needs to work on few areas .In the one day series the openers Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane didn’t give a good and fast start to India on 2 occassions so they both would be looking to get some fast runs to ease the pressure on the middle order and also robin utthapa couldn’t also do much with the bat in the 3 matches so he too would be looking to get back into form and get some runs within his belt also. The bowling is looking good with both the spinners and pacers getting wickets at crucial junctures in all the 3 matches. Though India is in good form but they should at no instance take Zimbabwe lightly who has the reputation of giving upsets to big teams like with Australia when they Beat them in the inaugural t-20 world cup so both the teams are ready to experience this whole new ball game. Both the matches would be played on the Harare sports club on 17th and 19th July with both the matches promising to be a nail biting one. So let’s see who would have the edge over whom!
