Jamia’s ‘Idea for Change’ to create young student entrepreneurs for the country

A start-up presentation cum brainstorming session was organized by the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Jamia Millia Islamia (CIE-JMI).

In the month of August 2018, the centre has invited innovative ideas from the students through a competition named “Idea for Change”. CIE-JMI has received many applications from the students. On the basis of the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of the idea, 11 ideas were shortlisted for the final presentation. On the basis of the potential of start-up ideas and their scalability, some ideas have been selected and will be mentored by the team of experts in the centre to establish successful start-up globally. During the presentation the students got a chance to interact with team of the experts in the committee. These experts provided them valuable inputs to improve the ideas for converting them into successful start-ups.

The presentations were made before  the committee comprised of Mr. Sachin Khandelwal, Advisor and mentor of start-ups who had previously served as the CEO and MD of Magma Fincorp, Mr. Kamran Razvi, serial entrepreneur and corporate law expert, Mr. Rihan Khan Suri, Training and Placement Officer, JMI. Prof. Zishan Husain Khan, Director, CIE-JMI.
