On this occasion, Dr. Karan Singh will also inaugurate ‘Talimi Mela’ in the lawns of Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium, JMI, at 12 noon. This year Foundation Day has gained its significance due to Talimi Mela or steps taken by new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Talat Ahmad, who was appointed recently. There is huge excitement among Jamia students regarding Talimi mela which is going to be organized after a long gap of six years.

When we asked Faizan, a second year student, about this, he told us, “all students of university are excited about Foundation Day and it will be a proud moment experiencing our University getting older and most students are excited about the Talimi Mela which has lost its significance during former Vice-Chancellor, Najeeb Jung, and students are welcoming VC’s decision.”
