Fee hike is one of the Frequent issue faced by the Jamia Students in Recent Years. Students of Jamia have raised Voice against the issue in past as well.This Year too Jamia administration hiked the fee of almost all the Courses including some changes in entrance exam forms fee Which would become a severe issue of the Students who are not financially Strong.
Jamia Millia Islamia rolled back the fee hike across different courses on Monday when protest called by students turned to a hunger strike.The students Started the Protest from around 12 noon which was joined by hundreds of the Students.
Prof. Mehtab Alam,Proctor of Jamia millia Islamia and Prof. Tasneem Meenai, Dean Students welfare came to adres the protestors and assured Students to Roll back the hike in the fee. After their assurance students called off their protest around 5 P.M..
