Jamia organizes IEEE- Teacher In Service Program workshop

IEEE Teacher In Service Program workshop held at Jamia Millia Islamia today on February 21, 2015. The 1 Day workshop was organized by the IEEE-Jamia Millia Islamia and IEEE-Gautam Budh University in association with Centre of innovation and entrepreneurship -JMI.the workshop was sponsored by IEEE-Delhi section.

Prof. Mini S Thomas,Director,Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Jamia Millia Islamia welcomed Mr. Ranjeet Nair,trainer of the TISP by presenting a flower bouquet.During the inaugural session of the workshop Dr. Ahteshamul Haque, Branch Counsellor of IEEE-JMI welcomed the science teachers and student volunteers. He briefed about the objective of the TISP program and thanked the Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia for the support and encouragement.

Dr. Haque also thanked IEEE Delhi section for supporting the event. Prof. M.S.Thomas briefed the audience about the IEEE TISP project. The objective of the project is to train teachers to encourage students to opt engineering as the career.Also to make them to work with engineering IEEE students branch for new ideas and their implementation. Dr. Shabana Urooj,Branch Counsellor of IEEE-GBU delivered Vote of thanks.Teachers from various schools of Delhi NCR participated in the workshop.
