Jamia law students felicitated by the Hon’ble members of the DSLSA

A petition namely,  National Campaign for Dignity and Rights of Sewerage and Allied Workers  v. MCD and Others was filed in the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi against the ongoing practice of Manual Scavenging in Delhi which has been prohibited under “The Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013”. The Hon’ble High Court questioned the authorities and on their denial of existence of any such practice, the Court asked The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) to conduct a survey on the existence of such practice in Delhi.
