Jamia is all set to celebrate its 95th Foundation Day on October 29

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will celebrate its 95th Foundation Day on October 29. Traditionally, this is the occasion for the entire Jamia bridari to congregate and celebrate together.

The Foundation Day celebrations of Jamia Millia Islamia will commence at 10.30 AM with a Flag Hoisting Ceremony in the Forecourt of Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium, JMI which would be followed by Foundation Day Function at Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium which is traditionally organized by Jamia Middle School. Apart from other programmes, Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, JMI will address the audience.

The Chief Guest Dr. Jitender Singh, Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office – Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions and Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (Independent Charge) along with Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia shall receive the ‘Guard of Honour’ by the NCC Cadets of Jamia at 12.00 Noon.On this occasion, ‘Talimi Mela’ will be inaugurated in the lawns of Dr. M.A.  Ansari Auditorium, JMI.

 The three-day 95th Foundation Day Celebrations shall conclude with Valedictory Function which will be held on October 31, 2015 at 5.40 PM in Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium, JMI. Prof. Ved Prakash, Chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) shall be the Chief Guest of the programme. The Valedictory Function shall be followed by Sham-e-Ghazal Performance by Radhika Chopra.

The Foundation Day Celebrations are being organized under the Chairmanship of Prof. Sadre Alam, Dean, F/o Fine Arts, JMI and the Committee constituted for the purpose.
