HANSRAJ COLLEGE OFFERS SHORT-TERM COURSES, PLANS TO ADOPT E-GOVERNANCE.

Hansraj College of Delhi University has set up five Centres offering Short-term Courses fields of Solar energy, Self-defence, IT, Media, Real-estate, Wellness etc. It will help students enhance their skills and learn the tricks of the trade of entrepreneurship.

The College has established Five Centres – Centre for Innovative ideas, Centre for Social change , Centre for Environmental awareness , Centre to promote Self-employment and Gandhi Vinoba Bhave study circle . And has four media centres – BRICS language media Academy , SAARC language media centre , Indo-European language media association and AAAA International language and media Centre

Rama, acting principal of the college,said, “ we have started with IT classes and student’s response has been good.” As per officials , these centres will be offering certificate courses in 25 subjects.

“Meanwhile, the college plans to make its library digital and adopt e-governance methods to turn the administrative and other wings paper-free , as a digital step.
Under the Indian government’s Digital India programme , the college has tied up with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, a society under the Union Ministry of Communication and IT , to establish a training centre on campus. It is offering computer training at various levels such as 10 days of free training for SC/ST students and advanced diploma , MCA and Mtech Programmes for all other students. The college has invited Maharashtra knowledge corporation limited to offer online computer courses.”,times group reported.
