Five things DU aspirants should keep in mind while filling the OMR form

The much awaited admission process for the 54,000 seats of Delhi University’s undergraduate programme is set to begin.The students aspiring to get admissions in various colleges affiliated to the university can submit the form online or offline as per convenience. The online submission of forms will not only be convenient for students who live outside Delhi, but would also spare everyone from the hassle of travelling in the heat.

The centralized optical mark recognition (OMR) form will be available offline from June 5 whereas online registration for DU admissions will begin on May 28 itself. The eight centers where offline forms can be submitted between 9:30 am to 3 pm are- SGTB Khalsa, Atma Ram Sanatam Dharam College, Dhyal Singh College, Gargi College, Maharaja Agrasen College, PGDAV College, Rajdhani College, Shyam Lal College and Guru Gobindh Singh College of Commerce.

In order to ensure that the the aspirants fill the form correctly and avoid discrepancies, here are few instructions to be kept in mind before filling the form:

1) Fill the form Completely.

The aspirants are advised to give complete details in the form so as to avoid the risk of the form being rejected. Give all necessary and relevant details and fill the form carefully. Avoid cutting and overwriting in the form.

2) Do not fold the form.

The students should ensure that the form is not crumpled, fold or mutilated in any manner. No marks should be made anywhere except where required. The black marks on the margin of the form are important. They should not be tampered with marker under any circumstances.

3) Use blue/black pen to fill the form.

The aspirants should use only blue or black pen to fill their forms. They should ensure that they darken the bubbles completely and mark properly against each of the particulars.

4) Wisely select the courses of your choice.

Select the course of study you would like to pursue by darkening the appropriate circles. Choose as many courses as you want to, provided you darken the circles properly.

5) Do not forget to get a photocopy of the form for yourself.

The pre – admission form has two sides. After filling both the sides, take the photocopy of the form on a single sheet. Submit the form to any of the designated centers and get the photocopy of the form as acknowledgement. No photocopies of certificates, documents or photographs are to be attached with the OMR form.

The aspirants should also note that no fee is required to be deposited while submitting the form. The information or data furnished in the pre-admission form is the sole responsibility of the applicant.Delhi University is set to declare it’s  first cut off list on 25th June.
