With a step that requires much appreciation, the UGC sponsored Women’s Studies Center of Avinashilingam University of Women (Deemed), Coimbatore, has started a full time course in M.A Women’s Studies and Entrepreneurship.
The course happens to be an interdisciplinary programme for women students without the age and income barrier, that recognizes the reality of changing Indian society and is designed to help students become entrepreneur as soon as they finish the course.
It’s an advanced course to support the Training and Employment Program for Women (STEP) , which ensures that they receive appropriate professional qualification for socio economic empowerment. Adding another feather to its cap, the university also offers industry scholarship for women under merit cum means criteria.
