Craft workshop organized for Underprivileged children

Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies ,New Delhi:

Students of Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies in collaboration with NGO We For People and   We love craft-the craft institute situated in Harsh Vihar organized a craft workshop at “Basti Vikas Kendra, Udyog Nagar”. Around 30 children of age group 6-12 years from slums participated in the workshop.

In the event, children were taught making different craft materials by paper folding and using waste materials. Spreading smiles on the faces of underprivileged children and making children learn something creative is the motto of the workshop.After the workshop stationary material was also provided to the children by the We Love Crafts.

” It was a great opportunity to come to the slums and teach children crafts work , watching them enjoying the workshop is like the best thing.” said Sonali,member,we love craft.

 

Project Director, Akshay Tyagi appreciated the efforts made by the We love crafts and said “It was a treat being the audience during the workshop and watch the slum kids involved dedicatedly in the workshop, which is indeed an inspiration for them to participate in the future events’’. He also mentioned “”We hope we will organize more of such events in coming time.

Ripul Arora, Nisha Budhiraja, Bhawna Pihal, Siya Kalra, Garima Juneja, students from Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies were also present during the workshop.
