CBSE UGC NET November 2017: Apply for OMR and Calculation Sheet before 9th February

Candidates who appeared for CBSE UGC NET in November 2017 can now apply for the copy of their OMR sheet and calculation sheet. The board will only provide these photocopies on the request basis and you can get the same till February 9th, 2018.

The examination was conducted on November 5 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in 91 cities and 1700 exam centres across the country in 84 subjects.Approximately, 9 lakh candidates applied for CBSE UGC NET for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellow in the respected fields.

How to Access the Answer Keys and Recorded Responses?

There are few simple steps to be followed to access the OMR sheet and calculation sheet –

  1. Visit the official website of CBSE UGCNET.
  2. Over there, on the left hand side bar click on the ‘CBSE-UGC NET RESULT – NOVEMBER 2017’ fill the details such as application number, roll number, and your DOB as mentioned in your admit card to get the results.
  3. For the answer sheets, click on the tabs named ‘Final Answer Key For Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3’ in the same left side bar.
  4. For the OMR sheet and the calculation sheet copy, you may have to send a request to the director of UGC NET. Please note this is not a FREE Candidates who want to obtain the copy of their OMR Sheet along with the calculation sheet will have to submit the requisite fee of INR 500 on or before February 9th, 2018. As the notice by UGC NET, published on January 9th, 2018, candidates who have already applied under RTI Act 2005 or otherwise may apply afresh for the same along with required fee of INR 500 before stipulated date i.e. February 9th, 2018. The fee may be remitted to this office through Demand Draft (DD) in favour of Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi/New Delhi issued by any scheduled bank.

Make sure to mention your Roll No., Name & Address correctly in the application and the backside of demand draft. Moreover, these copies shall not be provided to any institution or school for commercial use.

Discrepancies in OMR/Calculation Sheet

Candidates can challenge the recorded response if those differ from the ones you have marked on the OMR Sheet through the link available at cbsenet.nic.in. Here, the challenges submitted by post or in person will not be accepted. The prescribed fee of INR 1000 per recorded response challenged will be required to be submitted through Credit/Debit Card.

If the challenge is accepted by the Board i.e. if the recorded response is not the same as marked by you on the OMR sheet, correction will be done and the fee will be refunded. Whereas if there are no correction then the fee once paid is non-refundable.

Modified Qualifying Criteria

UGC has amended the selection criteria for this examination. Instead of declaring top 15% category-wise merit holders only 6% of the total candidates were to be qualified this time.

According to the press statement by CBSE, approximately4,09,439 male, 5,19,557 female and 3 transgender candidates registered for this exam. More than 75% candidates appeared in the examand marked it to be moderate in difficulty level.
