Aussies going to whitewash the Indian team-Mcgrath

It’s time for another India- Australia clash. The Australian tour of India during December 2014-15, widely known as Border-Gavaskar trophy, is already scheduled. There is no difference of opinion in the fact that Aussie team has always tried to battle with words before the series, against the teams and they did nothing different this time. Now it’s Australian pacer Glenn Mcgrath, who has started it by saying India, would be whitewashed by the Australian Cricket team. While both teams are steaming with confidence after their recent series victories, the home ground advantage gives the Aussies a slight advantage and a little ray of hope. During the 2011-12 tour, Australia won it for 4-0, and India had returned the favor by regaining it for the same 4-0 during the 2012-13 series. But this time the Australian pacer is confident about their win. He had predicted the win during an interview with Morning Herald. He accepted that Australian team has problems right now, but he affirmed that Indian team would not find things easy either once they set their foot in Australian grounds. Earlier India had lost to England in a test series. The same history is to repeat- he said. He thinks that Indian batsmen are not good enough to manage the bounce and speed of the Aussie pitches. After 1985, India could win only 2 tests out of the 23 played in Australia and that was when the legends like Sachin, Dravid and Laxman scored well. Mcgrath thinks as such now, there is no player for comparison with them in the Indian team.
Indian cricket team will go on atour to Australia in December-January 2014-15. The series includes 4 test matches whose first match will be played at Brisbane from 4 December. Virat Kohli will lead Indian team in the Brisbane test as regular captain MS Dhoni will not be fit to participate in first test due to injury. Ahead of the tour, Indian skipper Virat Kohli put up a brave front in his first interaction. He is of the opinion that Indian team should be aggressive in the fields to tackle the Aussie threats. After the test series, the Indian team will be playing a Tri-series involving England also as a warm up before the World Cup at Australia-New Zealand. According to Kohli, India is all set to correct the poor results of the team. He says Indian team is aggressive by habit and it would help them a lot in this series. He admitted that though India lost 4-0 during 2011-12, the experience and improvement is Kohli’s batting were some of the bright spots to emerge. He also said that the mood in the Indian camp was upbeat.
With Dhoni, sitting out in the first test, Kohli will be in charge of the Indian team including the preparations. Kohli has a proven record of captaincy in the under 19 cricket, when India won it. Ravi Shastri expects the same skills from him and that Kohli would slip into the role of a captain with much ease.
