AP EAMCET Application Form Correction Facility Closes Today; Make Changes Soon

The facility of making changes in the online application form of the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test or AP EAMCET closes today, i.e. April 12. The correction window was made available to candidates from April 8. This is a one-time opportunity provided to the candidates to correct the mistakes they made in the form, if any.

Details that can be corrected

To make changes, candidates need to visit the official website sche.ap.gov.in. There the candidate can make changes in the application form as per their eligibility. The errors in the form are grouped into two categories- Category 1 and Category 2. The candidate cannot make any amendments in the details of category 1 while he can make changes in the details that fall under category 2.

The candidate has to be really careful with the details while making changes because no further chance of correction will be given by the authority whatever the reason might be.

The details that come under category 1, i.e. those which cannot be modified are- name of the candidate, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, photograph, signatures, community, qualifying hall ticket number and stream. In order to make any change, a candidate is supposed to make a written request to the Convener of AP EAMCET 2018 via an email sent at apeamcet18@gmail.com from the registered email ID of the candidate.

The candidate must attach within the email all the necessary supporting documents. If the documents are verified and an approval is given by the authority, only then the candidate will be able to make the correction. If the approval is not given, the candidate’s application will be rendered incomplete or invalid.

AP EAMCET 2018 Application Form Correction Process

The details that come under category 2 can be changed only once by the candidate. The last date to do the same is April 12. To make changes, candidates should open the official EAMCET website and click on ‘Correction of online application data’ or directly go there. He then needs to enter application details and click on ‘proceed to fill application’. As the application form opens, he needs to make the changes in the form and then submit it. The corrections will be saved. If needed, he can also take a print out of the application summary page.

About AP EAMCET

EAMCET is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada, on behalf of APSCHE for admission into various undergraduate professional courses in the reputed colleges of Andhra Pradesh. Till 2017, EAMCET was conducted in the pen and paper mode. It is for the first time in 2018 that the exam will be conducted in the online mode.

The exam will be conducted from May 2- May 7 in two slots- morning and evening. The qualifying marks for the exam will be 25% of the maximum marks scored in the exam and a merit list will be made on the basis of that. The candidates who qualify for the exam will be called for counselling session post which they will be allotted their colleges.
