AMU Vice Chancellor meets Kerala CM for the development of AMU-Kerala Centre.

ALIGARH December 30:

The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah met the Chief Minister of Kerala Mr. Oomen Chandy and discussed with him about various developmental plans and projections for the AMU Centre in Malappuram, Kerala.Mr. Oomen Chandy has assured the Vice Chancellor that all possible assistance will be provided to the AMU Centre in expanding its educational arena.

According to media reports, Mr. Chandy has assured the AMU VC that he will meet Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ms. Smriti Irani to seek fund for the AMU Malappuram Centre.The Vice Chancellor, along with the Director of AMU Malappuram Centre Dr. H. Abdul Azeez, also met Member of Parliament Shri. E. Ahamed, Shri. E.T. Mohammed Basheer, Minister of Education Shri P.K. Abdu Rab and Minister of Urban Affairs Shri Manajlam Ali Kuzhi Ali.

Earlier, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah visited the AMU Centre in Malappuram and interacted with the students and faculty members. He urged all the stakeholders to work with a renewed vigor to make AMU number one University of the country. He advised the teachers to ensure quality teaching through continuous study and result oriented research in their respective areas.The Vice Chancellor met the medical team of KIMS Al Shifa Hospital of Perinthalmanna, headed by Dr. Abeer Arangodan, Consultant, Emergency Medicine, to ensure medical facilities at the Centre.
