AMU organizes Counseling Workshop on ‘Jobs in Government Sector’

Aligarh, August 25:
The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University in collaboration with the Residential Coaching Academy and Aligarh Muslim University Students Edition (Monthly Newsletter) today organized a Counseling Workshop on ‘Jobs in Government Sector’ in which UPSC 2015 qualifiers interacted with AMU students at the Kennedy Hall Auditorium and the Women’s College.
UPSC qualifier and Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College alumni, Dr Ehtashaam Waqarib, stressed on the ideals of determination along with proper guidance as his Success Mantra for cracking the civil services exam.

AMU Engineering College pass out, Mr Noor Alam who has qualified the UPSC exam and is working as an IRS officer spoke on the development of positive and inquisitive outlook towards the society. Mr Sana Akhtar, who will be soon be placed as an IPS officer said that one should not give up trying because of some failures. “Success comes when you are not disheartened by the hardships,” said Mr Akhtar.UPSC qualifier, Mr Samir ul Islam said that a person should have a goal worth living and dying for. He added,” Success is sure if a person can utilize each second of a single minute.”

Nullifying the ‘out of the world’ importance of coaching institutes and their claims, UPSC qualifier, Mr Mudassir Shafiq stressed on human credentials. He also called out for imbibing leadership qualities and doing away with the herd mentality.Meanwhile, Mr Azhar Kabir lamented that the key to success is by working on one’s thought process which would eventually lead to overall personality development. Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah congratulated the successful candidates and instilled enthusiasm with his words of wisdom in the hearts and minds of the applauding audience.

Conducting the programme, the AMU TPO (General), Mr Saad Hameed gave briefs about the educational qualifications of the UPSC qualifiers who were attending the programme. He also spoke about the difficulties and hardships, these candidates had to go through to become civil servants.During the event, Kalimuddin Ahmad, Director, Residential Coaching Academy talked about the dedication of his Academy in guiding civil services aspirants and shaping them into leaders of tomorrow.
