AMU introduces BA (Hons.) in Foreign Languages

ALIGARH April 17:

Aligarh Muslim University has launched an undergraduate programme, BA (Hons.) Foreign Languages (Chinese, French, German, Russian and Spanish), from the academic session 2015-16.

According to a notification issues by Mr. Salman Siddique, Deputy Controller (Admissions), AMU Vice Chancellor on behalf of the Academic Council and on recommendation of the Board of Studies, has granted approval to the introduction of this undergraduate programme under the aegis of the Centre for Foreign Languages. The University has fixed an intake of 10 students for each language under this programme.

The minimum qualification for seeking admission to this course is Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination with at least 45 percent marks in aggregate.

The notification said that admission to the above course will be given on the basis of an Admission Test scheduled for July 23, 2015. Interested candidates may apply online till June 30, 2015. Further details may be obtained from the website www.amucontrollerexams.com.
