Aligarh Muslim University arranged a special Horse Show for the visiting NAAC team

The Riding Club of the Aligarh Muslim University arranged a special Horse Show for the visiting NAAC team at University Athletics Ground.Standing salute was performed by Mr. Umer Mujtaba Khan, Captain of Riding Club to Prof. G. N. Qazi, Chairman of the visiting NAAC Team. Eight female riders of the club performed “Hacks”. Events of March Past, Musical Ride, Show Jumping, individual and collective Tent Pegging and Hanky Picking were performed by the University riders.

In his welcome address, Professor Shoeb Zaheer, Secretary, University Games Committee said that Riding Club was established in the year 1889 and is considered one of the oldest civilian Riding Club of India.

He mentioned that AMU is perhaps the only University in India, which has a well organized Riding Club with its own history of achievements.Captain of the Riding Club, Mr. Umer Mujtaba Khan proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was conducted by Mr. Basil Hanfi.

AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S. Ahmad Ali and senior University officials also graced the Riding Show.
