2.5 lakh per month: The highest stipend offered at IIM Nagpur

By: Muskan Lath Students of IIM Nagpur were on cloud nine when the summer placement was completed. Rs. 54,751 per month is the average stipend that was offered to students.
This was the fourth summer placement season of Indian Institute of Management, Nagpur. The highest stipend offered was a whooping 2.5 lakh per month. This was the fourth batch of flagship Post Graduate Program (PGP). The total strength of the batch is of 110 students.
Offers were given by over 40 companies but many companies had to return without making an offer as al 110 students were placed beforehand.
Most of the students opted for FMCG industry which was followed by Fintech and e-commerce. IT and Government sector were chosen by over 17 percent of the students.
LS Murthy, the director of IIM Nagpur said,“The completion of the summer internship process this early is a clear indication of the recruiters’ judgement of the quality of our institute. We are confident in our pursuit of staying relevant to the industry, and seek the continued support of industry.”
The institute is also in favour of startup culture as it is supporting one of its students to work in a startup in lieu of the summer internship program.
